What International Shipping Methods are Available?

  • Main Shipping Methods (DDU only)
    • Under 4 lbs -> USPS First Class International
    • Over 4 lbs -> USPS Priority Mail International
    • Priority Mail Innovations (longer delivery time, economy service; does have some weight & dimensional shipping thresholds)
    • UPS (DDP option)
      • UPS Standard (Canada & Mexico only; reasonable service)
      • UPS Worldwide Expedited (pricey)
      • UPS Worldwide Saver (if no custom issues;  guaranteed delivery up to 5 business days but the most expensive option)
  • With UPS options, you can have a main tracking # for multi- packages. For any USPS options, there is no multi-package option.
  • DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) -> The buyer is responsible for import duties
    • Customer is responsible for Duty & Tax
    • This disclaimer is listed in the FAQ on the client site
    • Package won’t be released until customer pays this fee
  • DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) -> seller covers duties, import clearance, and any taxes. DDP is considered the better customer experience, as it is a cross-border option that takes all fees into consideration upfront, allowing the merchant to still choose whether they pass those fees to the customer by increasing the product pricing or simply eat those costs.
    • Client must require email & phone # when customer creates order
    • These fees will show up a month later on the next monthly fulfillment invoice
    • USPS does not currently offer any DDP options
  • We are always exploring new shipping methods especially in countries like Canada where there may be a flat rate for duty & tax fee option. We always want to enhance the customer experience and ease the delivery process of an international package.
  • Suggested language for FAQ for international shipments -> The email and phone # of the recipient must be inputted with an order. Many times shipping companies will reach out before delivering a package. If any information is missing or incorrect with an address, the order will not be delivered and instead returned to the sender or disposed of by the shipping company. If this happens, we cannot reship or refund the order.
